About Diksha Public School

Diksha Public School works for the economic and social empowerment of rural children in the villages across Northern state of Uttarakhand, India. Through this effort, the society is committed to raising the level of education and literacy in rural India and helping disadvantaged children realize their full potential.

The society through its Diksha Public School offers a nurturing approach to education in villages. Diksha Public School has been an active support of promoting education among female children in the villages and our school has seen an increased enrollment of girl children.

Diksha Public School runs in village Dhanpura, The school presently cater to more than 700 students from nearby villages, with approximately 45% of students cannot pay for their education or 15% of students on free education through donations from our scholarship program. But, we still find volunteer, so they can sponsor those 45% of students who are unable to pay for their education. This will create the possibility for the rural children to pursue higher education or find gainful employment and thus build a strong society for the future of these children and alleviate themselves out of poverty.

Diksha Public School functions on grass-roots level, relying on community involvement and the support of innumerable volunteers and donors.
